Lesson learnt’ Script

The scene begins with a close up of Douglas in his school yearbook.

The camera then zooms out to reveal the yearbook as a bigger picture.

The camera will then zoom in towards victim 1’s picture, to the point where there is an extreme close up on the eyes of the picture.

The shot cuts to the eyes of the victim, now zooming out to reveal his corpse.

The next shot flicks to the picture in the yearbook of the first victim being crossed out by Douglas, with a red marker.

The camera then uses a low angle shot of our Douglas’s feet waking away into his van travelling to a pub through some leaves.

The next shot is a mid/long shot showing the pub and its surroundings, with Douglas and Fuchsia walking out with him, she has blonde hair and is dressed innocently.

Douglas: Allow me to drive you home, my van is just round the back.

Following the previous shot, there will be a low angle shot of Douglas opening the back of his van and removing a black sack and carrying it towards his garage.

Once back in the garage, Douglas washes his blooded hands in the sink.

After the killer has washed his hands the camera then pans across to him crossing out Fuchsia’s face off the yearbook with the same red marker.

The camera will then zoom out to reveal all of the victims from the yearbook that have been murdered; the red marker is a symbol for all the blood that the killer has had to wash of his hands and symbolises the mass murders that he has committed.

We then cut to a TV showing a news report from outside Douglas’s old school.

Reporter 1: Today we are here at Chelmer Valley High School, where a number of past students from the leaving class of 1995 have been reported missing.

Reporter 2: Police have been working long and hard to try and find any connection between all the disappearances, and all they can find is that all these people where in the same leaving year group here at Chelmer Valley in 1995.

Reporter 1: The police will continue their search to find links to the disappearances, if anybody has any information please contact the number at the bottom of the screen.

Whilst the final piece of dialogue is being said the camera will zoom out to reveal a TV. The camera will continue to zoom out to reveal an over the shoulder shot of Douglas watching the news report on the TV. The screen will then black out with the title ‘Lesson Learnt’ written in blood.
